Located approximately 150km North West from the Newman town site, Roy Hill is Hancock Prospecting flagship iron ore mine. With on site infrastructure to cater for 2500 workers the site comprises of Administration Facilities, Dry Mess, Wet Mess and Auditorium.

The mechanical services to the Administration, Wet Mess and Auditorium is reverse cycle split ducted and packaged type units with heat recovery. Ventilation is via fan assisted ducted systems where required.

The Dry Mess is served via two reverse cycle air cooled chillers with chilled and heating water reticulated to internally located air handling units. Ventilation to the catering facilities is via ducted fan assisted system terminating in a high efficiency Halton type hood. MPM had significant design input into the development of the mechanical systems to ensure the stringent design criteria was met. Systems were installed under the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 (WA). Systems were subject to strict quality and environmental standards typical of North West resource projects. This project was completed in October, 2013.
